Just as a note, if you're on Unix, you can change the
date and time of the file using "touch".  Specifically,
"touch -t [[CC]YY]MMDDhhmm[.ss]", or as a concrete
example "touch -t 03051504" will set the date to March
5th of the current year, and the time to 3:04pm.
(Think of it as "03/05-15:04".)   As another example,
"touch -t 180401020823.44" will set the date to
January 2nd, 1804, and the time to 8:23 and 44 seconds
in the morning.

This is how I set the dates and times on my weblog
entries when I edit them.  You can usually tell the
ones I edited since the times will be multiples of 5.
i.e.:
http://weblog.latte.ca/2003/01/16#released
http://weblog.latte.ca/2003/02/10#health
http://weblog.latte.ca/2003/02/11#health2
