[foaf-dev] Vocabulary for Genealogy/Family Tree Information

Hello all,
I guess the relationship vocabulary could work for Genealogy
information but does anyone know of any other actively used vocabularies for
Genealogy information? I did see some that was discussed a few years ago.
So, I wonder if in the meantime a common vocabulary has been developed or
agreed upon.
Thanks,
Bruce

Subject: Re: [foaf-dev] Vocabulary for sexual relations?

Hello all,
It's curious that they don't use the namespace relationship on the page or
in the vocabulary:
http://vocab.org/relationship/
Never mind, they suggest rel but do not use it on the page. I'm a bit new
to this. If the namespace is http://purl.org/vocab/relationship
why is it at: http://vocab.org/relationship/

I am working on a couple sites that could benefit from these vocabs. One is
dealing with family history/genealogy... the other is an adult dating site.
I'd love to see some ideas as to how and where these vocabularies are used.
I started reading "Programming The Semantic Web" and hope that it will give
me some useful ideas.
Thanks,
Bruce

Use the relationships vocabulary as a model and go to sites like fetlife.com
which probably lists every such relationship possible and is ripe to have
such foaf vocabs.
