I hadn't seen him for a couple of years since his interests moved more into the political activist space but we corresponded very occassionally. He left such an amazing legacy of work and thought. I'm really cut up about it. My favourite memory of him is just those photos of him as a kid, meeting many of his personal heroes for the first time, but you knew that they were almost as in awe of him as he was of them.
