Hi all,

If there’s no stability, how can a REST system possibly work?
Okay, right, hypermedia… (assuming that at least the starting URI remains stable)
but we can't expect clients to navigate to the desired resource every time again, can we?
And, also:
“The naming authority that assigned the resource identifier, making it possible to reference the resource, is responsible for maintaining the semantic validity of the mapping over time (i.e., ensuring that the membership function does not change).”
A 404 certainly changes the membership function if the resource is still accessible through another URI.
Best,
Ruben
