Yes, I like that, too. Especially vs minting one. OTH, there is the proximity to RDF/Linked Data semantics.

Thanks for reminding me. I kinda think 'alternate' means 'can stand in as' which is not true in my case. Ian S. Robinson also used alternate in hist Infoq talk.
