I know that this is a dumb question, but could you explain how the WS-* specs relate to SAML? Is the SAML functionality in WS-* somewhere, so that the specs are incompatible? I personally think its a nice document that explains the role of the key WS-* specs that IBM/MSFT/others have published in supporting the business requirements of secure, reliable, transacted interactions.
