Please forgive me for this plug (actually I'm pluggnig two things at once so the pain is lessened), but I wanted to let you know about some workshops I'm teaching that may be of benefit to you or someone you know. IA: Theory & practice ----------------------- This is my popular, full day workshop that is a very thorough introduction to IA. I've been teaching this for a while, and it really does always get rave reviews. I'm teaching it at IA Summit - right now the class is quite small, so we'll have a great opportunity to talk and explore your questions: http://iasummit.org/2009/program/pre-con/information-architecture-theory-and-practice/ And for the Southern hemisphere folks, I'm teaching this in Wellington at the end of March: http://optimalusability.com/information-architecture-theory-and-practice.php Advanced IA: Principles & practice ------------------------------------ This is my brand new Advanced IA workshop and Wellington gets this first (also at the end of March): http://optimalusability.com/advanced-ia-principles-and-practices.php This includes principles like cognitive categorisation (which is much funner than it sounds), how we make choices, information seeking behaviours and how to design for the knowledge gap. And it covers practices like documentation/communication, testing IA and project questions. Of course, I can teach either of these in-house or at other conferences too. Thanks - plug over. Hope to see lots of you in Memphis or Wellington! -- Donna Spencer - Maadmob [email protected] 02 6255 4993 / 0409778693 http://maadmob.com.au/ http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/books/cardsorting/ ------------ IA Summit 2009: Peabody Hotel in Memphis Pre cons on March 18 and 19 Sessions on March 20, 21, 22 ----- When replying, please *trim your post* as much as possible. *Plain text, please; NO Attachments Searchable Archive at http://www.info-arch.org/lists/sigia-l/ ________________________________________ Sigia-l mailing list -- post to: [email protected] Changes to subscription: http://mail.asis.org/mailman/listinfo/sigia-l
