(5th largest online business to be precise) in seeking a couple of very
experienced user experience professionals to join their growing team. 

A company that year on year has experienced double digit growth, has more
than 2m registered customers, the largest e-commerce platform in the world
and every day has more transactions than all the European stock markets
combined. Recent expansion into the US and a innovative set-up and offering
means this client ain’t no poodle.......

 

1)      Usability Lead

You will lead a team of 2 other usability consultants in developing a deep
understanding of how users interact with their huge portfolio of products.
Working closely with IA, visual designers, web analysts and product managers
the successful candidate will bring experience from both the academic and
commercial worlds. 

 

The role is fascinating with incredible scope to really own and help develop
techniques and methodologies across iDTV, web and mobile with a user base as
diverse as you could imagine.......and then some more.  Offering state of
the art usability labs and a team of qualitative researchers to work
alongside and the resources to extend the testing across the globe.

 

Experience:

Rich and broad portfolio of projects covering the full product lifecycle.

Academic qualification in HCI or similar

Ability to influence senior and very intelligent stakeholders

Applying the latest techniques in their purest form but also able to grasp
the bigger picture and apply guerrilla techniques when time demands.

2)      Senior IA 

This opportunity will also appeal to a candidate who is top of their game.
Someone who as a senior/lead IA is now seeking a new challenge on the most
complex web interface there is. A keen interest in sport is beneficial.
Joining a team of 14 with 4 dedicated IA’s, 3 of whom are Senior. My client
is about to embark on a new global experience architecture which is a huge
project and a fantastic folio piece. So if a challenge is what you are
after......

 

Experience: 

Rich and broad portfolio of projects covering the full product lifecycle

Ability to influence senior and very intelligent stakeholders

Applying the latest techniques in their purest form but also able to grasp
the bigger picture and apply guerrilla techniques when time demands.

Experience leading large pieces of UX work
