Absolutely. Depending on whether you're talking ia, IA, taxonomy, UX, information design, or all of the above there are roles for just about everyone: from the Information Architecture of the sites themselves to diagrams depicting the overall interaction. My current project has a traditional site IA component, a Social Media interaction component, a page level information design component, and an overall brand experience component. I've been writing strategy docs, creating sitemaps and content inventories, wireframing, and producing experience diagrams. Prior to my work, research-backed personas were created as well as an analysis of which Social Media tactics would be appropriate for those audiences. There's room for al of us! *E ----- Original Message ---- From: Dan Chamberlain <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 13, 2009 9:23:46 AM Subject: [Sigia-l] Information Architecture and Social Media Is there a role for the Information Architect in the Social Media environment?
