This is a full time, on-site, salaried Principal UI Designer position
located near San Carlos, CA.  Salary commensurate with experience +

Our client is seeking a talented Principal UI Designer to design the user
experience for leading-edge products and services.  They are looking for
someone who is passionate about the customer and can leverage a
user-centered design process to conceptualize innovative designs, create
user experience specifications, workflows and mockups. As a Principal UI
Designer you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Creative
Designers and Engineering Leads to drive the overall design strategy and
execution. The Principal UI Designer is a highly visible and exciting role
within the organization where you will have opportunities to present to
executive management the overall design vision and execution.

Responsibilities: 

* Drive the overall design strategy and design execution for a broad range
of products and services for the website 
* Collaborate with PM and Business teams to conceptualize new product ideas
and develop user stories 
* Champion user experience through the organization and establish best
practices and guidelines  
* Create innovative design solutions to customer problems and create user
experience specifications, mockups, prototypes 
* Transform data gathered through research methods to create high performing
flows and designs 

Qualifications: 

* 10+ years of experience in user experience design and/or information
architecture 
* Experience with user research methodologies and working closely with user
researchers to create delightful user experiences 
* Experience applying a user-centered design process for eCommerce and/or
consumer websites 
* Expert at user experience best practices and driving site consistency 
* Passion and prior experience driving/creating innovative products 
* Excellent knowledge of emerging technologies 
* Motivated, dynamic, creative and results-oriented  
* Ability to collaborate actively & effectively on multidisciplinary teams 
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

* Experience working in an agile environment a plus 
* Masters or Bachelors degree in HCI, Visual Arts, Media Arts & Sciences,
Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or related field
