[Sigia-l] [JOB] Information Architect, NYC | 75-90k

This is a full time, on-site, salaried Information Architect position
located in New York City paying $75,000-90,000 depending on experience +
benefits.  No telecommuting allowed.  US Citizens or Green Card holders only

The founder of this 30-person startup is very well known in the music
industry, and this firm has well-established relationships with iTunes,
Amazon MP3, Napster, Rhapsody, and LimeWire.  The company is all about music
promotion and getting your music heard and available to buy. 

Their dream applicant has proven solid experience in Information
Architecture, User-Interface Design and graphics design. He/she also has
strong artistic ability to capture the look and feel of corporate standards
and apply to the corporate website, a web portal and internal web sites.
He/she exhibits an understanding of color psychology, spacing, and reaction
to look and feel together with a passion for understanding people and
designing fabulous experiences for them online. They  are looking for the
best and the brightest of the next generation of interaction design and
usability talent. You will collaborate closely with customer service, front
end and application developers, and other teams within the company.
 
Responsibilities: 
* Design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives 
* Create interactive design concepts 
* Design: mood boards; storyboards; interactive page layouts; site grids and
interface demos; photo retouching and enhancements 
* Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables 
* Build and maintain a team rapport with the development and technology team
and with the business owners and their teams 
 
Qualifications / Requirements: 
* Strong design portfolio and 2+ years design and interactive work
experience 
* Developed and diverse communication skills, including the ability to
articulate creative ideas 
* Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail
within demanding deadlines 
* A solid working knowledge of the latest versions of Mac OS, Photoshop,
Illustrator, HTML/DHTML, CSS, etc 
* Understanding of the strengths and limitations of Flash and other
browser-based interactive technologies 
* An understanding of information architecture and hierarchy 
* Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web 
* Passion for design and a commitment to the profession of visual
communication
