Hi All,

I'm getting ready to undertake a project to introduce
localization/multi-lingual to an intranet. I haven't done a project like
this before and would love advice about how to get up to speed--reading
recommendations, pitfalls to avoid, etc.

The first phase will cover the 5 languages which reach 80% of the employees.
Right now limited multi-lingual capabilities are in place, but are done in
an ad hoc way; this project should help address that...to some degree. The
intranet is housed in a portal and a CMS. We're upgrading to a version of
the CMS that supports multi-lingual, but the Portal doesn't and we've got a
number of unanswered questions about process. I should be dealing more with
IA and interface issues--I won't have to do much of the project
management/logistical stuff (I hope).

Thanks in advance for your advice!
