Calling Senior UX Consultants – full UCD Lifecycle!

This is a compelling brief for a Senior User Experience Consultant to work
across the full lifecycle of multi-platform solutions ranging from
pioneering user research and usability testing through to full UCD projects.
As a Senior Consultant you will be expected to manage projects from the
discovery phase to implementation, working with account teams you will scope
the overall strategic direction of the project. The company has fostered a
culture in which an SC will mentor other team members and line management
opportunities are available too.

You will manage UX projects from pitch to delivery. This will typically
involve consultation with key stakeholders to help shape their brief, as
well as, fully understanding the business requirements. Workshops are a key
part of the process, allowing you to plan the project, prioritise work
streams, discuss design concepts and plan the implementation. In terms of
user research methods, you will be engaged in strategic research, including
user research, usability testing and competitor analyses. The feedback and
data will naturally form the basis which will feed into your design
decisions, thus giving you complete autonomy of delivering a full UCD
solution.

At the next stage, Senior Consultants will be expected to create high level
design concepts using low-fidelity techniques through to interactive
prototypes. Ability to sketch design solutions on the fly is essential. The
design process is highly iterative with the end user testing at its core!

Another interesting responsibility you will have is conducting UCD related
training courses which are open to the public. All consultants contribute to
thought leadership which in many ways keeps you abreast of developments
within the industry across various platforms ‘i.e mobile, tablet’ and will
stretch your mind intellectually, this ranges from blogging to authoring
leading edge white papers.

Lastly, you will also write and carry out briefings, calculate budgets, and
delegate co-workers. Ideally you will have a background of 3-4 years in a
User Experience role, with a qualification in HCI or relevant Masters
Degree. This role will be based in a creative and dynamic environment. The
client would also consider somebody part-time, who has relevant experience,
so do get in touch to find out more information.

Salary – up to £45,000
