A User Experience Consultant is required for a major online fashion retailer. This is one of the most exciting roles Ive worked on this year; this is a chance to really make a difference and help shape and develop their UX offering. My client, a leading fashion retailer, is currently transferring its old platform onto a new state of the art platform which will allow for efficient innovative flexibility over the websites interface. This means that you will not only be at the forefront of a major development in fashion e-commerce but also have the opportunity to develop a state of the art, multi-disciplinary site. The role will not only give you the opportunity to explore the whole customer experience from offline to online but projects will also involve multiple platforms from mobile to tablets. You will have the opportunity and freedom to develop big ideas, sketch them out and create quick prototypes whilst collaborating with the rest of the scrum team. The current UX team consists of 4 consultants but require an experienced IA to collaborate with the team on new projects. The Business Analysts and Solution Architects have begun using Axure therefore an exceptional knowledge of Axure will be vital in this position as the company is incorporating the software with the rest of the organisation. This is an incredibly refreshing place to work where everyone believes in UX and what it can do to shape the organisation. The company sports a non hierarchical environment where everyone across the whole company is thirsty for UX knowledge and inspiration. This client invests heavily in their teams and really take care of their staff, you will have an excellent benefits package from amazing retail discounts to 3pm finishes on summer Fridays. The Candidate Important you are familiar with practises such as, full UCD lifecycle, stakeholder management, produce prototypes, maintaining up to date wireframes and site maps as well as spreading good design practice throughout the organisation. Alternatively some unique experience is required in order to do well in this role. Experience with e-commerce, check-out process and any platform, product experience will be extremely useful. Experience in working in a collaborative manner to facilitate typical design activities and an active participation in acquiring up to date knowledge of the best UCD techniques and employing them to improve current practices will put you in a very good position for this role. If you are a passionate and motivated individual who genuinely cares about their role and the overall success of the company then youre the right person for this company. You enjoy continually building relationships across the whole business as well as enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can adapt quickly which should maintain your enthusiasm and excitement about the next project coming around the corner.
