remote ftp is not case sensitive

do I have some options if the remote ftp I'm using for backups with sitecopy is not case sensitive? I am backing up files from a wiki, which has some files with different case. The upload to the master ftp fails because it doesn't understand the difference. Would it be possible for sitecopy to work out some case translation?
