With fetch/synch, changes of size should always be noticed; changes of 
date should not.  If you use "state checksum", changes of contents 
always will be, but it requires downloading each file twice, 
effectively.

Try 0.16.2, fetch mode is much improved at least, I'm not sure about 
what bugs are present in older versions.
