Thank you for replying. Unfortunately the change did not work. I can confirm 
the problem is the firwall as it works if I turn off the firewall (default 
Suse firewall). I don't know much about ftp or firewalls. Are you able to 
give a pointer as to what I may need to configure on the firewall to make 
sitecopy work through it?
