sftp broken

Dear Sitecopy experts,

Sitecopy (0.16.0) was working great for my interactions with my 
windows web server using sftp protocol until recently.  They must 
have performed an update of the server or something, and now sftp 
is broken.  Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

I am using ubuntu, and tried upgrading to the ubuntu package 
(0.16.1).  I can establish a manual sftp connection with the web 
server, but not a scp connection.  Does sitecopy (sftp protocol) 
really use scp or sftp protocol?

The server is using winsshd.
