so it seems that the implementation of ftp on MacOSX is smarter and
manages toI keep the connection up :-)

However, I still think that this is not a field where sitecopy may
help. You might
compile it on your mac and it should work fine, however... at least this is how
I see things. Maybe Joe will come up with a better solution!
