Using common sitemesh decorators for all web apps

Hi Scott,

This thread looks like it could be tremendously useful to us.  We have stuiggled for a long time to create a shared look & feel across different web-apps without copying at build time.  However, could you clarify what you mean when you say:
   'put the sitemesh jar in a common lib directory that both web applications can access'

In Weblogic we can put jars in WEB-INF/lib, the ear, or the system classpath.

As WEB-INF/lib is not common, do you mean the ear or system classpath?  are these the only alternatives?  We try to keep as many jars out of the system classpath as possible and our wars are not in the same ear.
