Hi, I'm trying to reduce my sitemesh-ed pages size. I added a trim filter in my application server's web.xml (removes duplicate line-feeds & white spaces). This works fine. I reduced my page size by 31%. I then tried to add a GZip filter over that. Now, I see the GZip encoded page in clear text in my browser. If I remove the sitemesh filter from my web.xml, the GZiped + trimed page shows correctly, but sitemesh-ing the page before I GZip it seems to confuse the browser, and it seems to thinks it will receive non-compressed data. Example: ¡ÃâºÃ±E´ûî¿Vò⢠6«â þìbB)«@ȴâcÃÃK2çrø9\!âÃâ¢cYnªâÃüb`·BÃJâhìe0xBâ]5ïUC $ Anyone has a suggestion on how I could pinpoint the problem ? I have no problem tracing in Sitemesh code.
