Images loading slow -sitemesh/webwork/velocity

Hi All

We are using sitemesh/velocity/webwork for the site
www.terimerijodi.com as you can see when the page
loads the images are loading slowly one after the
other this is happening only with this web
application. Chaning the mod_jk log level to error
also does not improve the image loading.. when the
same application is loaded without the
webwork/sitemesh imgages are loaded without any
problems and all the images appear at once..


I also came across a posting regarding Tomcat/Cocoon
combination where in having loadonstartup set to 1
results this.. 


does anyone seen such a problem? Any suggestions
