ps:Mike, , Freemarker is really more powerfull than velocity. It's just my
point of view, I'm not a freemaker developper...

That does look very interesting. I've been examining FreeMarker a lot
recently, it looks like a solid layout system. Perhaps put the code up
attached to an issue in JIRA, so others can download it if they want -
and then we can integrate it into the next big SiteMesh release?
