Developers: I have been using subversion for my own projects lately, and much prefer it to CVS. In particular, the ease with which files can be moved and branches maintained, as well as the noticeable performance improvements, make it to my mind a clear win. As far as I know, sourceforge isn't going to make subversion available in the near future, but developer.berlios.de does now and I've only heard good things about it so far. If others were OK with it, I'd be inclined to close the CVS tree at sourceforge and move it to SVN at berlios. There I would make a 3.x branch and continue to maintain it -- I and others have a lot of need for it to be maintained! -- and also a skunk4 branch, where we could work with a freer hand and reorganize the tree as we see fit. What do you think? js -- Jacob Smullyan
