Using different types in PyDO2

Hi.

I am using only PyDO2 in my project, but I have a problem with it. Every
single data, I get out of the mysql db only strings, also cloumns are
defined in the database as an integer.

So what I am doing wrong or how can achieve to convert a stored 1(int)
to True?
