Music resample

I am trying to build an online audio player within one of my screen in Skunk.
My problem is, I am trying to "re-sample" my waves file before playing but i
cannot seem to get it going correctly.  I took a look at the audioop module
and wave.
can someone provide me an example how to use the audioop module to resample.
