ok thx for your answer

actually, these objets are from differents files, so
begin="myniceobject.click" doesn't work.
I was trying to convert an old site made with frames to a new one using new
tools. Frames are Evil, but the previous developper though anything else,
and I was to lazy to change all.

I've found a solution, by using a
onclick="name_of_the_frame.name_of_the_par.beginElement();" on the element
supposed to start the animation, after having set the name of the frame and
the block smil in the other frame.

[frame A]
<SCRIPT>window.name=name_of_the_frame;</SCRIPT>
<smil:par id=name_of_the_par .../>

[frame B]
<IMG onclick="name_of_the_frame.name_of_the_par.beginElement();"/>

it's really really dirty :) but this could help if you have to work with
frames or popups (hopefull you don't)
