SQL on Rails???

Just out of curiousity, is there anyone else who would be interested in working to port SQL-Ledger to Ruby on Rails?  I am doing it mostly for learning purposes, both for SQL and Rails.  I have most of the "master" data (i.e. customer, vendor, etc.) working and have sales orders as a proof of concept.  I can pass along screen shots, etc.  It is definitely a big project though, especially working it part time.  Anyone interested, please contact me directly, so as not to bog down the mailing list.

A couple of guidelines I am working with...
1)  Stick with Postgres and the standard schema (which I have created most of in Rails migrations), with a future eye toward MySQL since more web hosts seem to support it.  It would be a much easier sell if there is no "conversion" to do before you can use the Rails version and/or you could use both systems at once as new features are added to either one.
2)  Stick to existing functionality for the time being, with updates concentrating on the UI (e.g. AJAX).  Future plans would probably match what is done with the original, but some ideas for extension might be CRM-type functionality or integrating with something like SugarCRM, enhancing time tracking by integrating with Outlook (shudder) or others, or whatever else seems important.
