If it was easy to consolidate typo's you WANT to consolidate, it would be
also very easy to consolidate different customers with like names. Glad it
does not seem to work that way!

Mr. Jack Jones may have a son Jacky Jones, on the other hand it may be a
typo as well. Or his wife, sister or niece for that matter.

Correct input is essential, corrections later are time consuming and error
prone. If there is no real reason to tidy up, it may be safer to keep it
like it is? In other words, rethink if you would WANT to fix this at all.

Personally I would spend the time in putting END dates in the customer info
for the typos, leaving the (issued) transactions as they are, maybe giving a
remark in the notes field as to which customer SHOULD be used from now on.

That way, future actions end up in correct accounts.
Changing the past is beyond the scope of the accounting department.

Hello, For a variety of reasons, I have ended up with some customers who
have been entered more than once with their names spelled different
ways. I would like to consolidate the multiple records into one, but am
having trouble. I tried to change the customer name on existing AR
records, but when I click "Update" SL tells me "ERROR! Customer not on
file."

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
