Customizing the POS screen

Hi all, I would like the customer ``Notes'' field to appear on the POS
screen. It contains some important info on the customer such as, ``Don't
accept any checks from this person!!'' etc. I poked around in the source
code, but didn't find anything. Can someone give me a hint about where
to look?
