2.6.12 Upgrade

Hello all... I am having problems upgrading. It seems as if setup.pl is reporting that the sql-ledger-2.6.12.tar.gz file is not in gzip format. I tried manually tar xzvf sql-ledger-2.6.12.tar.gz as well, but no go. I am running on Debian sarge if that makes a difference. Am I missing something obvious? Anyone else tried to upgrade with success?
