Minimum Oracle Version?

Hi All,
	Is there a minimum version requirement for Oracle?

I've checked the archives etc..

Running 8.1.6 client against 8.0.5 server.

A few problems in the object create scripts, ....

Once up and running I then have problems with sql queries
such as the following: (SL/IR.pm around line 620)

SELECT (SELECT c.accno FROM chart c
		WHERE d.inventory_accno_id = c.id) AS inventory_accno,
	(SELECT c.accno FROM chart c
		WHERE d.income_accno_id = c.id) AS income_accno,
	(SELECT c.accno FROM chart c
		WHERE d.expense_accno_id = c.id) AS expense_accno,
	(SELECT c.accno FROM chart c
		WHERE d.fxgain_accno_id = c.id) AS fxgain_accno,
	(SELECT c.accno FROM chart c
		WHERE d.fxloss_accno_id = c.id) AS fxloss_accno,
	d.ponumber AS invnumber, 
	d.curr AS currencies,
	current_date AS invdate
FROM defaults d;

When recoded as a join the statement then executes and everything
is fine until the next one. :-( 

Know a lot about Oracle, a moderate amount of perl, and enough about
accounting
to know I don't want to know anymore :)
