1.8.7 Update Dataset Leaves 4 Tables Inaccessible

After running the 1.8.7 Update Dataset as the postgres user, the 
following 4 tables are inaccessible by the user (not postgres) who 
originally created the tables -- even after refreshing that user's 
permissions under admin.pl:

chart
employee
gifi
makemodel

Any ideas? Do I just GRANT ALL on these tables to the user in question?
