The Squid HTTP Proxy team is pleased to announce the availability of 
the Squid-2.5.STABLE4 bugfix release.

Squid-2.5.STABLE4 is a bugfix release of Squid-2.5 and corrects several
major bugs found in earlier Squid-2.5 releases. Users are encouraged to
upgrade if they need to do maintenance of their proxy or experience any
kind of problem with their current Squid installation.

There is no security related bugfixes in this release. If you today are 
running Squid-2.5 and don't experience any problems then there is no 
pressing needs to update.

If you however do experience any kinds of problems including but not
limited to some sites not being reachable via the proxy, randomly broken
images, odd messages in cache.log etc then the developer team strongly
recommends upgrading to the new release.

The important bug-fixes in this release are:

in addition there is a large amount of minor and cosmetic bugfixes not

It is recommended to read the release notes when upgrading from an earlier 
Squid release (including Squid-2.5.STABLE3) as there has been some minor 
changes in the configuration.
