The issue has been there for a long while. Recent updates to GCC 15 have 
just started catching it.

The official patch can be downloaded from 
<https://github.com/squid-cache/squid/commit/5750e4fc76b55f7bc27ae8b8953e491991a91e55>.

I have also scheduled a backport to get it into 7.3. Sorry it was missed 
out of the previous v7.x releases.
