Dear Squid Developer Team and the entire community,

Congratulations on the 30th anniversary since the release of the very first
version of this legendary and world-renowned proxy server!

Back in the 1990s, Squid quickly became incredibly popular. For hundreds of
thousands of students in universities and campuses worldwide, it served as
a vital window to the Internet. Many of us still fondly remember those
minimalistic, text-based error and access messages from Squid that
occasionally popped up in our Netscape Navigators.

Alex, Francesco, Amos, and all the other developers, past and present =E2=
=80=94
thank you so much for your monumental work in creating and maintaining such
a wonderful product. We especially appreciate your dedication to supporting
the user community with extraordinary patience, even when answering our
occasionally silly questions.

Even as the web continues to evolve rapidly, the name "Squid" remains a
true cornerstone in the history of system administration.
