IPTC filter on filesystem indexing

Hi!

I'm trying to index images using the IPTC2html.pm filter. But I don't really 
understand how to set this:

-I can't use this .pm file as a filter in the configuration file I think (I 
have error messages then)
-then if I have to use the spider, I don't know how to use spider for local 
filesystem. 

Can I do this using the FS method ? Or should I write my own spider for 
local spidering with a filter?
