emacs mode (and installation)

Poking around, I found this emacs mode for weblogging:

Since it implements the MetaWeblog API, I take it that means I could 
use it to "post" any XML data to Syncato?

Also, Kimbro, where do things now stand in terms of 
ease-of-installation.  I had successfully built everything awhile back 
with Syncatomatic, but never got around to configuring and testing it 
(too busy with other things).  I'm on OS X, and so want to use the 
default Apache installation.
