I'll try and get some time to try your scripts out.

As for using a named parameter for xpath queries. The problem as I 
percieve it is that somewhere along the line (either webware or apache)
the url's are getting mangled. For example:

http://randomthoughts.vandorp.ca/WK/blog/item//a

*should* yield all links. However by the time it gets to syncato
syncato sees:

/WK/blog/item/a

So when you say you've fixed the xpath issue are you referring to the 
patch the other day?
