No it just uses the id, the title is actually ignored.

I'm curious have you actually tried storing non-latin text in Syncato? 
I assume it won't work since I haven't been worrying about UTF-8 at the 
Python level. It's a todo item.

Yeah, kind of a round about way to get there, but it can work that way.

No, it returns the XML source for the item. It's part of the Syncato 
REST API. HTML is just a view onto that data.
