Actually, we need to look at something better than bar code scanners. Bar code scanning has inherent problems. Ever tried bar code scanning? There's a pretty high failure/frustration rate. Even the cashiers have problems getting them to work. RFIDs or Nanosensors would be much better in several aspects, as they're less forgiving. That being said, we're currently working on a new model for grocery shopping that I can't wait to reveal. It's all very hush hush right now, as it's not set to launch until Q1 2004. But suffice it to say, we'll be taking IDEO's shopping cart, and the Internet fridge to new levels. Stay tuned...
