(Apologies if you receive more than one of these.) A reminder that we are running two public courses in London in May and June (see below). An early booking discount for the first is available until 11 April. As the courses are in collaboration with the UK UPA and British HCI Group, there is a further discount of 5% for members of either. There is currently a three-for-the-price-of-two offer on Web Design for Usability. Both are available to run in-house for web designers, usability specialists and managers. See the web page for each course for details. ----- WEB DESIGN FOR USABILITY: Thursday 11 May 2006 (all day) This course covers a broad range of topics (including goal-oriented design, card sorting and accessibility) at an optimal level of depth. Participants learn how to design and evaluate web sites for enhanced user experience. (This course will also be available at the CHI 2006 conference in Montreal on 26 April. See www.chi2006.org) For further information and online booking visit http://www.syntagm.co.uk/design/webdesign.shtml CARD SORTING FOR NAVIGATION DESIGN, Thursday 8 June (afternoon) This half-day tutorial and workshop expands on the card sorting exercise in Web Design for Usability, aimed at producing web navigation that corresponds to users' expectations. It is an innovative approach that we have pioneered but most of the learning points can be applied to any card sorting technique.
