Just done the survey.
... very timely ...
I was just mailing Harold Thimbleby about date input the other day.
He and Paul Cairns have been writing about number input and I was
mentioning my own frustration with dates ... e.g. why so few
airline/hotel reservation systems default the return calendar date to
be after the departure date; why credit card input forms have you
enter dates in just about every other form than the mm/yy found on
the card itself; and why oh why not show the day of the week when you
are about to make a hotel or flight booking!
I was writing from my own experiences, so it is great to see you
getting empirical data. It seems crazy that after 25 years of
usability we still are failing to get these simple things right :-/
