Fair point - I think I'm guilty of using this as an opportunity to 'strike
out' out the kind of response I see regularly on lists focusing upon UCD and
usability stuff. I'm not actually focusing on Anu's comments in isolation or
indeed this list, but more upon usability, UCD, design...whoever, who sees
an opportunity to criticise other people and their work without actually
contributing to anything. 'Usability' people are typically those people who
are worst at this.
It gets frustrating seeing this on a regular basis when the topic of
'usability' comes up. Its so easy to point out what is unusable, in my mind,
what we should be focusing upon is how to make things usable first. Its much
more challenging and rewarding
