Seth, Tom and all, First of all, thank you very much for reviewing the W4D proclamation. I do appreciate your comments and opinions. You helped me to recognize the week points of the document and I can see now, that it can be easily misunderstood. > Maccaws has no use for such a stringent document. Yes, not directly. On the other hand, web sites made to W4D are fully standards compliant in the same time and could serve as a great samples for the Maccaws project. W4D's co-author Petr Stanicek designed great standards compliant web sites. His Reflex is well known even abroad: http://www.reflex.cz Reflex is a big Czech lifestyle magazine and the web site is almost W4D compliant. Now Petr works on another newspaper web site -- one of the largest three Czech daily newspapers -- and it will be fully according to W4D. > I think that many of us would disagree with many points > on the document, I know that I did as well. That's absolutely ok. W4D is not a universal manual. Even its authors are not going to make all web sites that way. On the other hand, it's an interesting challenge, what can be done with quite restrictive rules. > For the authors, I say to them - your intentions are good, > but I don't know who in the real world will adhere to it. Well, http://www.maccaws.com/ is almost W4D compliant (except the main menu position and possibly few other details).
