  I don't think that it will cause a big problem if people from 
different areas of the world joined the initiative. 

  On the other hand, your point is deserved to be taken seriously, 
since in time there will be many different languages of the 
"original" documents. Think, all the tracks of the changes in the 
original pages must be reflected to the tranlations, translated 
documents must be organized, checked etc. etc.

  So it may be a good idea to create a sub-group under the content 
developement group regarding internalisation/translations.
