Which gives me an idea - we should have a list of groups/companies/etc. that
endorse our kit, once we produce it.

Back to the original question of sponsors - I think the fundamental problem
is that once we accept/make money from an outside agency, there are tax
implications. If we don't want to pay taxes, we need to be a registered
non-profit. To keep things simple, why don't we decide that we are not going
to take outside money? We've all agreed that we aren't in this to make
money, and it sounds like our needs are very modest. If Sun (or anyone else)
wants to be associated with MACCAWS, they can a) help produce the kit and b)
endorse the final product.

Mind you, this is opinion. I'm not exactly a financial expert, but I work
for a couple of non-profits, so I've run around asking our finance people
about this, and the above is the conclusion I draw from all the talking.
