The problem I know about with IE and image ALT attirbutes is that if an image is also a link, IE displays the ALT attribute of the image on mouseover, and not the TITLE attribute of the link. Moz gets it right, and Opera doesn't display any text on mouseover as far as I can see. Is that what you meant?
