It may sound ridiculous, but it isn't so simple, I think. What 
exactly *valid code* means. I can imagine both very 
standards-aware web site that doesn't validate and on the other 
hand the web site that validates ok, but it's far from 
standards-compliant.

Moreover, big web sites likely have a lot of legacy code inside.
