Hey Everyone,

We all know how difficult it is to get our pages tested in all
browsers on all platforms that we need.

I don't know that this fits in with out mission, but maybe there is
a way the browser makers could help us out. - And maybe we can do it
ourselves.

I know that I crave this: I need to test pages on:

PC - IE 4 - 6, NS 6, 7 and Mozilla 1, Opera 6.
MAC - IE 4 - 5, The new Mac Browsers, Mozilla 1

But this is difficult since I run windows XP, I can't get IE5 or any
mac stuff. Particularly, the IE5/6 differences can get you.

I don't expect MS to release their rendering engine publically
anytime soon, so I guess thats not an option. But, what about a site
online that somehow looked up a url, took a snapshot and emailed it
to you? To me, this would be extremely helpful in debugging for
browsers.

If such a tool were available, it would make cross-browser authoring
a bit easier, and maybe more developers would work at it.

Thoughts?

Tom
